Static Line Skydiving Parachuting Malaysia
Static Line Skydiving/Parachuting Course in Segamat, Johor State - PRIVATE GROUP ONLY

* For those who are determined to become a licensed skydiver (with proper training by a USPA certified instructor/s) in least possible time, we can organise ACCELERATED FREEFALL (AFF) course. Minimum Duration: approximately 6days - may not be consecutive days. This is the fastest way to license yourself as a recreational skydiver.

Please review our testimonials.

This course is specially designed for first time jumpers. Our aim is to introduce you to an often heard but little known sport in Malaysia with a comprehensive basic training and two jumps. Static line jumps have an automatic release of the parachute as soon as you jump from the plane. No messing about with handles here!

You will experience the thrill of exiting an aircraft at 3,500 to 4,000 feet, your own parachute deployment via static line, and a voice transceiver (walkie talkie) guided canopy flight back to drop zone.

The theory-class lasts between 4 to 5 hours. It is aimed to familiarise participants with the gear and equipment. Theory classes will share topics on:
-Introduction to parachuting.
-The equipment and its related function.
-Parachute deployment sequence and theory of flight.
-The flight drill or parachute familiarisation after deployment.
-The flying pattern.
-Parachute Emergencies.
-Aircraft Emergencies.

In practical, participants are taught the appropriate stance and postures on the plane, jump-execution, chute guiding and landing.

You will be taught in a very friendly environment with an Instructor and Jumpmasters who are all qualified and approved by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia. They have accumulated over a thousand jumps and have been in the sport for more than 20 years!

Experience & Safety
This syllabus is approved by the Department of Civil Aviation(DCA) of Malaysia. The course covers all the subjects necessary to successfully complete your first jump. All gear provided are constantly checked for safety and meets international safety standards for the sport.

Our ultimate aim is to provide you a sound background and knowledge level to allow you to continue and complete the full training program to become an experienced parachutist.

Difficulty in setting up jumps/boogies [updated 2009]

Since the late 90s, there has been much difficulty in setting up skydives/boogies. This is attributed to many factors that are beyond anyone's control. There are limited planes available that are suitable to take jumpers up and even fewer pilots available to fly them. Less than a handful of qualified jump masters are willing to conduct static-line courses for civilians. Coordination between all the different factors poses a tough task as well. Bad weather or the difficulty to secure airspace is another hindrance at times.

Today, the Department of Civil Aviation has become more stringent in their applications and less encouraging for civilian skydive activities.

The sport is very expensive as equipment are imported and made with high international standards to reduce risks. Aircraft fuel is different than automotive fuel which again is added costs. Repairs are also unavoidable and expensive. There are also plane transfer fees between airports.

In skydive, it is important that you do not choose price over quality. Cost cuts might just mean cutting corners to obtain a quick setup. Our rates may fluctuate as many independent entities involved in the skydive event will have varying rates. Our margins are kept low in order to promote the adventure to Malaysians and International visitors. One day, we endeavour the adventure will be a weekend activity for all.
We are now ONLY ACCEPTING PRIVATE GROUP BOOKINGS with a minimum 8pax to setup a static line course. 10pax is ideal. It has be an uphill task coordinating interested parties from various factions with different schedules so we do not wish to pursue this avenue again.

Event Dates will be proposed by instructor unless you have minimum 8pax which meets our quota to setup an event.

Booking notice

Minimum 2 months notice. Jump masters and pilots do not work full time in the sport. Planes are not always available. Process time for application to various sources in the aviation industry may be stretched.
