WHOA! brings to you a one-of-a-kind air-venture in Malaysia!
UPDATE OCT 2009: Our paragliding activities have temporarily ceased as our instructor is not available. No date on when we can start again.
Paragliding and motorised paragliding is still a relatively unknown sport in Malaysia. The basic courses provides a comprehensive theory and practical syllabus to train one with no experience to become eventually a confident independent glider with a license from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). It is important to note that the courses listed are merely introductory starter packages and does not immediately grant a graduate to fly out in the open without assistance. Once novice students gain more confidence and experience, they can be taught more complex flying skills with an advance course. Students are encourage to join the PLUM (Malaysia Paragliding And Hang Gliding Association), a community of paragliding enthusiasts around Malaysia, to continue learning the sport. Through membership, you will have the opportunity to rent the paragliding equipment before purchasing your own.
Discover paragliding with a Tandem ride!!
We can organise tandem rides for you to sample the unique sport before commiting to a novice course (listed below). Our instructor is an experienced Tandem Master qualified by both NZHGPA(New Zealand Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association). There is a single unit tandem gear while up to 3 instructors can be on-site to impart knowledge and skills.
